Yes, it's sweet that the Tigers are in the ALCS, and even sweeter that they beat the Yankees to get there, but I must refrain from celebrating until the end of their run, however they might finish. So in the meantime, instead of beaming about Saturday's ALDS game four, I'd like to mention a different game from Saturday -- the SEC matchup between SEC powerhouses LSU and Florida. Not because I'm a fan of either team (college programs that are perenially in the national spotlight annoy me), but because if you haven't seen the Gators play this year, you need to do so. Soon. For no other reason than to see Tim Tebow play. "Who's Tim Tebow?" you ask. "Are you serious?" I respond. Tim Tebow is a freakin' amazing true freshman quarterback that comes in to give potential Heisman candidate Chris Leak a breather and/or to gain about eight yards a pop by running over anyone in his way. The dude passed for nearly 10,000 yards in high school. He also ran for 63 TDs. That's in four years, y'all. He's awesome. He never takes a dive before getting hit like so many quarterbacks not named Duante or Vick. He goes berzerk anytime he makes a decent play, and his first NCAA touchdown pass was a jump pass (which probably hasn't happened in the last 40 years). He's fun to watch, so start watching Florida play because you're going to be hearing his name for the next four years (especially after Leak graduates and he gets the starting job for the next three). You might as well start following a legendary journey now. Just to whet your pallete, I'll throw the obligitory YouTube links at ya. Enjoy:
